Accountant

Our client, an Investment holding, dealing in real estate, insurance and trading in derivatives is hiring an Accountant

General Description 

The candidate must be a team player and embrace new challenges. This is an open position and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Reporting of financial performance- daily, weekly, monthly, annually reporting to Senior Management
  • Deal with banker, auditors, tax consultants, authorities
  • Prepare reconciliation and analysis
  • Manage accounts payables and accounts receivables
  • Deal with local suppliers and service providers
  • Review contracts and reports
  • Ad hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer
  • Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel & Macros

Qualifications

  • ACCA or any other relevant qualifications
  • Candidates should have very good SC & HSC grades

The ideal candidate should demonstrate competencies in the following:

1. Consultancy – the ability to listen carefully and ask good questions in order to establish ‘root cause’ of an organization’s problems.

2. Diplomacy – the ability to engage and deliver feedback in a professional and objective way without causing offence, maximising engaging and personal/organisational credibility.

3. Communication – excellent communication skills in terms of listening, responding both verbally and in writing.
